This is the kind of place we’d actually send a friend, not just a guest — a stand-up counter on the Adoquín with a griddle going and a line that moves fast because nobody here is precious about it. The fish comes battered and crisp, the shrimp version is just as good, and the salsa bar does the real work: pick your own heat, squeeze your own lime, don’t overthink it. Three tacos and a horchata will run you less than a coffee back home.
It gets busy after dark once the pedestrian strip fills with the evening crowd, and that’s honestly the best time to go — order, then eat standing at the counter or on one of the plastic stools out front while the street does its thing around you. Go earlier, around 6 or 7pm, if you’d rather have room to actually sit.
It’s a straightforward walk or a five minute taxi from the cabaña. Cash only, and it’s worth having small bills so you’re not waiting on change from a food stand.
